Add a little rainforst flair to your room with this authentic Yanomami carrying basket (called Wii by the Yanomami). Display it on the wall to use a a plant holder - a truely unique wall accent handmade by the women of the Yanomami tribe of the Venezuelan, Amazon. It is made of mamure palm fiber (Heteropsis spruceana), colored then colored with a plant dye called onoto (Bixa orellana). The red color of the onoto is an important part of their color and is used on their baskets, hammocks and also used as body paint.
