An old prophecy says:  

When the Condor of the South meets the Eagle of the North,

the warriors of the rainbow will be born. When the tears from these birds are merged, the warriors of light will be born.

The life of the indigenous people is well hidden under the canopy of the green foliage. But, there we find the secrets of the Amazon. Cultures such as the Yanomami have existed in the deep jungles for thousands of years. Here time almost seems to stand still. But how have they managed to co-exist for so long in ecological harmony? What is their secret?

 

The layers of knowledge are passed from generation to generation, and shared through daily activities including weaving, story telling, singing, food preparation, animal and plant knowledge. Survival in the rainforest is rooted in their collective cultural and environmental history deeply connected to one another, in ancient knowledge.
